it has 4 speakers, two tweeters and one amp in the car. the amp is for the tweeters. Do i need to bypass the old amp now that my head unit has an amp inside of it?

wait, how on earth do u have an amp solely to the tweeters stock? makes no sense. but i've seen worse. If it;s aftermarket get the amp power specs and see what u can run to the speakers. Upgrading stereo offers some improvement but new speakers is what u want to do if they're stock.
I had a 98 cl-p and didn;t have an amp. it had 4 speakers and tweets, alpine stock radio which was great. I hooked up an amp to it and ran it to 4 polks.
