Pirastro, the makers of Evah Pirazzi Strings, has a long history of making quality handcrafted strings. In the late 1700s, Giorgio Pirazzi, an Italian string-maker, was invited to set up a workplace in Frankfurt and continue his business. For generations the business continued until, in the 1890s, the then current owner Gustav Pirazzi, moved into business with a partner named Theodore Strobel.
They created the company Pirastro, a combination of both men's last names. Although the company name may have changed, the traditions did not. They continued to strive for nothing but the best quality in their manufacturing.
That quality can be felt in the strings, named for Evah Pirazzi who took over the company in 1992 and helped modernize their structure. The company's philosophy has remained unchanged and that adherence to quality is one of the reasons the Evah Pirazzi violin strings are so popular among violinists.

Fulltone Clyde Standard Wah Guitar Effect Pedal $203.15 Clyde McCoy was a big-band Trumpet Player in the '60s... not a great musician, but one famous for getting a muted wah wah sound. This led to Vox trying to approximate this muted trumpet sound in a guitarpedal... hence the Vox "Clyde McCoy" wah wah circa 1967.Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton used a Vox "Clyde McCoy" model wah wah.
