My wife has a singer quantum XL6000 embroidery sewing machine and we are having diffuclty doing monogramming.?
Question:
We want to be able to do a monogram like J N J where the N is bigger than the J;s on either end. Any advice? Also, what type of files can be downloaded to be used on the Quantum XL6000? Any suggestions on the best sites to find downloadable files to be used for this sewing machine? Does anyone know of a good manual or training tutorial to walk one through the most effective use of this sewing machine? Thank you for any help you can provide. Joe

I have the same machine. I had some problems with it initially, but am very happy with it now.
To do the monogram you want, page through the built-in designs to the alphabets. Press the icon that has 3 A's arranged with the tall one in the middle. Nothing changes on the screen, but it takes you to the letters. Select them in the order they will show (middle letter will be the tall one). When you go to the 'show me' screen, it will be arranged that way. They do come out sort of circular, and I don't know of a way to leave them in straight block style.
re: your question on the type of format: It says to use .psw format, but I accidentally used .pes once and had no problem-- so I now regularly use .pes or.hus without reformatting. If you don't have the manual, you can download a pdf version at http://www.singerco.com/accessories/manuals.html
